News Deven May, Brian Charles Rooney and More Have a Nashville Connection Sept. 19 Members of the cast of Warrior, part of the 2006 New York Musical Theatre Festival, will head to Birdland Sept. 19 for a concert titled The Nashville Connection: Broadway Meets Country.

The concert is scheduled to feature the talents of Grammy winner Marcus Hummon, country star Sherrie Austin, Bat Boy's Deven May and Three Penny Opera's Brian Charles Rooney as well as Erich Bergen, Cole Burden, Nancy Slusser and Louis Tucci. Show time is 8 PM. Michael Bush will direct the Broadway Meets Country concert, which was first presented at the O'Neill Theatre Center. The evening, according to press notes, will celebrate "the similarities of country and theatre music; the art of storytelling through music that is personal, intimate, timeless and innately American." Concertgoers can expect to hear tunes from Big River and The Ballad of Bonnie & Clyde as well as works by Patsy Cline, Roger Miller and Garth Brooks.

Birdland is located in Manhattan at 315 West 44th Street. There is a $25 cover and a $10 food-drink minimum. Call (212) 581-3080 for reservations.
