On Oct. 24 Alan returns to Los Angeles' Show at Barre. The 8 PM performance features Diana DeGarmo, Todrick Hall, Kate Pazakis, Angel Reda, Morgan Karr, Von Smith and Jessica Keenan Wynn. (For tickets visit http://showatbarre.inticketing.com/evlist.php?page=2&pagemax=60.)

On Oct. 29 Alan will play San Francisco's Rrazz Room at Hotel Nikko at 3 PM. The afternoon concert, featuring special guests Kristoffer Cusick (Wicked), Molly Bell and Anna Ty Bergman, will include songs and stories from Alan's three critically acclaimed albums as well as never-before-heard songs from his new musical Home. Scott Alan wrote the book, music and lyrics for the musical Detour, which was seen in Los Angeles. His current theatre projects include Piece, which was featured at the 2003 Palo Alto TheatreWorks festival, the 2005 NAMT festival and the 2007 Festival of New Musicals at Village Theatre; and the song cycle The Warmth of the Womb. He also produces the monthly Monday Nights, New Voices concert at the Duplex. Alan's newest recording, "What I Wanna Be When I Grow Up," is now available on CDbaby.com, Amazon.com and iTunes. "What I Wanna Be When I Grow Up" follows Alan's earlier studio recordings, "Dreaming Wide Awake" and "Keys." His new musical Home is aiming for a Broadway debut in 2012.
