Broadway director-choreographer Jeff Whiting has been appointed to the board of the Educational Theatre Association (EdTA). Whiting officially joins in July and will serve through June 2023.

Whiting's career as a director and choreographer includes Broadway associate credits on Bullets Over Broadway, Big Fish, The Scottsboro Boys, Hair, and Young Frankenstein. He is also the creator and founder of Stage Write Software and its Stage Write app, which has revolutionized the process of documenting theatrical staging and choreography. Launched in 2012, Stage Write is now used by more than 50,000 individual clients worldwide and on over 80 Broadway productions.

EdTA is an international association that advocates for theatre education, and is home of the International Thespian Society. The association's 11-member board has eight members elected from the organization's membership and three appointed positions.
