After photos and video from North Bergen High School’s production of Alien: The Play went viral, Scott offers to help fund an encore run.

Students at New Jersey's North Bergen High School, which mounted an elaborate production entitled Alien: The Play, received a heartfelt letter from director Ridley Scott, according to Deadline.

Scott, who directed the 1979 horror classic Alien, caught moments of the production in tweets that recently went viral. In his letter, the famed director writes, “My hat comes off to all of you for your creativity, imagination and determination to produce such an ambitious show.

Limitations often produce the best results because imagination and determination can surpass any shortfalls and determine the way forward — ALWAYS.

Self-sufficiency is what this country was largely based upon with its immigrant population coming into a New World and working TOGETHER…”

The director also added, “Scott Free will advance some financial help to fund an encore performance of Alien.”

Scott also suggested a follow-up production from his filmography: “How about your next TEAM production being Gladiator—”
