There will be a concert tribute to director Jerry Zaks and Curt Dempster, artistic director of NY's Ensemble Studio Theatre, Mar. 16 at the Supper Club in NY.
Among the scheduled performers are Macaulay Culkin, Richard Dreyfuss, Nathan Lane and John Turturro. Anne Meara and Jerry Stiller are hosting the event.
Zaks, who has directed Tony-winning plays and musicals ranging from The Hosue of Blue Leaves to Six Degrees of Separation and Guys and Dolls, is currently staging Martin McDonagh's The Cripple of Inishmaan, which begins performances Mar. 17 at the NY Shakespeare Festival. Dempster's Ensemble Studio Theatre, which was founded in 1971 as a theatre for playwrights, directors, actors and designers, is internationally renowned for its annual star-studded one-act festival of plays by leading American playwrights.
The evening, which will benefit the Ensemble Studio Theatre, begins with cocktails at 6 PM.
