Shear will begin her eight-week run in the award-winning musical March 31 and play through May 25.

She was previously seen in the West End when her Broadway play Dirty Blonde came to London's Duke of York's in 2004, in which she reprised her Tony-nominated performances as Jo and Mae West alongside fellow original cast members Kevin Chamberlin and Bob Stillman. Shear, who is now a London resident, has also made appearances in "Friends," "Earthly Possessions" and a filmed version of her 1993 one-woman stage show, "Blown Sideways Through Life."

Shear joins a cast that currently features Birgitte Hjort Sørensen and Rachel McDowall as Roxie Hart and Velma Kelly, respectively, with Terence Maynard as Billy Flynn and Paul Rider as Amos Hart.
