News Disgraced Star Among Cast of Laugh It Up, Stare It Down Casting has been announced for the Off-Broadway staging of Alan Hruska's Laugh It Up, Stare It Down, beginning this month at the Cherry Lane Theatre. Featured in the cast is Katya Campbell, whose Broadway credits include Disgraced and The Big Knife.

Performances begin Aug. 26 with an opening night set for Sept. 9.

Helmed by Chris Eigeman, who directed indie film "Turn the River," the cast also features Jayce Bartok, Maury Ginsberg and Amy Hargreaves.

The comedy-drama Laugh It Up, Stare It Down follows the journey of Cleo and Joe, a tale marked by a missing baby, a tidal wave, a house invader and more. It tells the story of "the meeting of their minds, the entwining of their hearts, and their life-long search for a meaningful point in a universe too random to have one," state press notes.

The creative team includes Kevin Judge (scenic design), Jennifer Caprio (costume design), Matthew J. Fick (lighting design) and Peter Salett doing original music and sound design. Casting is by Barden / Schnee Casting.
