National Tour News Disney’s Frozen Will Launch National Tour in Los Angeles The Tony-nominated musical opened at Broadway’s St. James Theatre in March.

Disney Theatrical Productions will launch a national tour of its latest musical, Frozen, in fall 2019. The traveling production will officially open at the Pantages Theatre in Los Angeles.

Exact dates, a full itinerary, and casting will be announced at a later time.

The musical, based on the 2013 Oscar-winning animated film, opened at Broadway’s St. James Theatre in March, subsequently earning Tony Award nods for Best Musical, Best Score for Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez, and Best Book for Jennifer Lee.

The Michael Grandage-helmed production features choreography by Rob Ashford, musical supervision by Stephen Oremus, sets and costumes by Christopher Oram, lighting design by Natasha Katz, sound design by Peter Hylenski, and video design by Finn Ross.

The two-act musical is the first stage adaptation of the title to expand upon the blockbuster, with over half the score consisting of new numbers (while also showcasing the film’s memorable songs, including the Oscar-winning “Let It Go”).
