News Disney's Schumacher Pens "How Does the Show Go On?" for Young Theatre Lovers Thomas Schumacher — the Tony-winning producer of Disney's The Lion King, Aida, Mary Poppins and The Little Mermaid — has penned "How Does The Show Go On?," a new book for the younger set that explores the production of a Broadway musical.

"I wanted to create the kind of book about the theatre that I would have enjoyed when I was a kid," Schumacher stated. "It is also important to show young theatre lovers that there are countless career opportunities that do not involve being on stage." "How Does the Show Go On?" gives young readers insight into the world of theatre, including a glossary of theatre terms, costume designer's sketchbook, an authentic Playbill® program, a front and back-of-house guide, as well as the experience of a day in the life of a child performer.

Penned by Schumacher and Jeff Kurtti, "How Does the Show Go On?" "is a totally unique guide to what goes on behind the curtain," press materials state. "From informative descriptions of the playwright, choreographer, stage manager and fight director to explanations about the role of the set designer, composer, usher, director and leading lady, Schumacher has created a stimulating, interactive and all together indispensable introduction to the theatre."

The 125-page hardcover will be available mid-November from Disney Publishing World Wide. Visit www.howdoestheshowgoon.com for further information.
