The Diva-lution of Molly Pope

Directed and produced by Ben Rimalower (Joy, The Fabulous Life of a Size Zero), Diva-lution is scheduled to play the intimate theatre Nov. 19, Dec. 8 and Dec. 15 at 9:30 PM. Musical director Sonny Paladino leads a small band. Director Rimalower previously told Playbill.com, "I've always wanted to do a show like this, real old-school cabaret — almost all of the songs were written over 50 years ago. Molly has a quality reminiscent of the fierce downtown club singers of the '60s, and this material suits her extremely well, but there is also something decidedly 'right now,' about her and I think audiences will love this show."

Cabaretgoers can expect to hear Pope's renditions of Dietz and Schwartz's "By Myself," Cole Porter's "It's Alright With Me" and The Cardigans' "Love Fool," among others.

Molly Pope has been seen on the New York stage in Machinal, The Merchant of Venice and Twelfth Night: The Drinking Game. She is a member of Dreamscape Theater and The Dorothy Parker Society.

The Laurie Beechman Theatre is located within the West Bank Café at 42nd Street, just west of Ninth Avenue. There is a $20 cover charge and a $15 food-drink minimum; for reservations call (212) 695-6909 or e-mail [email protected].
