PlayBlog Do You Have What It Takes to Become a Radio City Rockette? Submit Your Video Are you between 5-foot-6-inches and 5-foot-10½-inches tall? Proficient in tap, jazz and ballet? And at least 18 years old? If so, you are a candidate to be the next Rockette to grace the stage at Radio City Music Hall for the 2011 Radio City Christmas Spectacular. All you need is the chance to audition. To land an audition at the front of the line, simply enter your best dance video.


From now until April 25, Rockette hopefuls can email their videos to [email protected] to compete for a premium slot at the May 10 Radio City Rockettes open auditions taking place at Radio City Music Hall. A Radio City choreographer will review video submissions and select the top four finalists to be posted on www.Rockettes.com beginning April 28.

The rest is in the hands of the public! From April 28 through May 2, voting will take place for the favorite dancer on the site. The dancer whose video receives the most number of votes will be selected as the winner and be announced on May 3.

In addition to winning the opportunity to audition with the first group of women allowed into Radio City, the winner will also receive free roundtrip airfare to New York with two nights hotel accommodations May 9-10.

MSG Entertainment has announced that this year's production of Radio City Christmas Spectacular will feature six new scenes, new Rockette performances and costumes, as well as additional songs.
