Producer Michael David will receive an honorary doctorate in theatre from his alma mater, Albion College in Michigan, May 6. According to Albion spokesperson Jake Weber, David graduated from Albion in 1964 and was named a Distinguished Alumnus by the school in 1990. David also graduated from, and then taught at, the Yale School of Drama.
David, a founding partner of Dodger Theatrical Holdings, has co-produced more than 300 shows in the U.S. And Europe, including the long-running Vanities and such Broadway productions as Titanic, Big River and the recent Guys and Dolls revival. Current credits include Footloose and The Music Man.
