Broadway blockbuster Hamilton holds “open auditions for singers who rap” in New York City May 3 for replacements to the New York production and for upcoming "national tours."

An “open call” means you do not have to already be a member of Actors' Equity Association in order to audition.

According to an audition notice from Telsey & Co., producers are seeking “excellent performers for our current Broadway company and upcoming National Tours.” An earlier notice specified ”non-white” performers, but the wording was modified after a protest from Equity.

Sign-in starts at 10 AM May 3 at Chelsea Studios, 151 West 26th Street, sixth floor, in Manhattan. Auditions run 11 AM-2 PM.
