Using the Donkey formula, The Karaoke Show combines classic characters from The Comedy of Errors with the phenomenon of karaoke. The work is billed as "a pop-tune wonderland of wild rock-star fun" in which every performance is different.

The cast of The Karaoke Show features Rachel Benbow Murdy, Julie Danao, David Diangelo, Aaron Fuksa, Emily Hellstrom, Charles King, Anderson Lim, Derek Mitchell-Giganti, Robert Orosco, Steve Park, Jordin Ruderman, Marc Santa Maria, Jenny Lee Stern, Erin Stutland, Anna Wilson and Welly Yang.

The evening begins as early as 7 PM when the doors (and bar) open, kicking off the festivities with an 8 PM performance featuring a cast of karaoke characters followed by a 9PM "Audience Karaoke" which invites audience members to join in (signing up during the performance) followed by a 10:30 PM "Karaoke Idol Contest" in which audience-selected favorites from the prior performance vie for the title and a return bid. At 11 PM, the party keeps on going as bar and dancing continues.
