News Donmar Warehouse Announces Casting for Dario Fo's Anarchist Casting is now complete for the Donmar Warehouse's production of Accidental Death of An Anarchist.

Dario Fo's play — based on the true story of a political activist who fell to his death from the window of a police officer — will play the famed theatre Feb. 20 to April 19. According to the theatre's official website, Robert Delamere will direct a new translation by Simon Nye, who writes the TV series "Men Behaving Badly." Heading the cast are Rhys Ifans as the celebrated maniac with Emma Amos, Desmond Barrit, Cornelius Booth, Paul Ritter and Adrian Scarborough.

The creative team includes Simon Higlett (set and costume design), Paul Pyant (lighting designer) and Paul Arditti (sound design).

Accidental Death of An Anarchist premiered over three decades ago in Italy. An ill-fated Broadway production played 20 regular performances and 15 previews in Nov. 1984. That cast included Jonathan Pryce as The Fool, Gerry Bamman as Inspector Bertozzo, Joe Grifasi as Captain Pisani, Bill Irwin as The Sergeant, Patti LuPone as The Reporter and Raymond Serra as Chief Bellati.

The Donmar is currently presenting Noël Coward's The Vortex through Feb. 15. The remainder of the season includes Anarchist (Feb. 20-April 19), Michael Sheen in Caligula (April 24-June 14), and Stephen Sondheim's Pacific Overtures (June 20-Aug. 23).
