Josie Rourke will direct Arterton as Joan of Arc in George Bernard Shaw’s classic, which “follows the life and trial of a young country girl who declares a bloody mission to drive the English from France,” according to the Donmar. “As one of the first Protestants and nationalists, she threatens the very fabric of the feudal society and the Catholic Church across Europe.”

The cast also includes Matt Bardock as Robert De Baudricourt and D’Estivet, Richard Cant as De Stogumber, Hadley Fraser as Dunois and Elliot Levey as Cauchon.
