Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio is in the cast, in what is the first of two high-rofile Grandage musical revivals. The second, to follow in 2005, will be his production of Guys And Dolls for the Donmar in the West End, to star Ewan McGregor.

Baker was last seen in the West End as Dorothy in Thoroughly Modern Millie. The Tony Award-winning musical by Luther Davis and the Kismet team of Robert Wright and George Forrest features additional music and lyrics by Tony Award winner Maury Yeston. Regular Grandage collaborator Christopher Oram designs and the lighting design is by Hugh Vanstone. Choreography will be by Matthew Bourne regular (most famously as the Swan in Bourne’s award-winning Swan Lake) Adam Cooper, with Jae Alexander as musical director and Terry Jardine as sound designer.
Grand Hotel began previews at the Martin Beck Theatre Oct. 16, 1989, later transferring to the Gershwin Theatre. The musical played a total of 31 previews and 1,017 regular performances.
