News Donna McKechnie to Return to London with Same Place: Another Time in April Tony winner Donna McKechnie will bring her new show, Same Place: Another Time, to London's Crazy Coqs, beginning performances April 2 for a run through April 6.

The show, which she debuted at New York's 54 Below at the start of this year, is described in press materials as "a musical déjà vu celebrating the scintillating 70′s in New York City with of course references to London."

She is best known for originating the role of Cassie in A Chorus Line on Broadway in 1975 - a show that is coincidentally currently back in London at the London Palladium. But Stephen Holden, reviewing her appearance at 54 Below for the New York Times, wrote that, "for all the upheaval New York has undergone in the nearly four decades since A Chorus Line, Ms. McKechnie’s show suggests that its essence hasn't really changed; it's the big time."

Her other Broadway appearances include State Fair, On the Town, Company, Promises, Promises (which she performed in the West End in the 70s) and How To Succeed in Business Without Really Trying.

In Same Place: Another Time, she salutes this remarkable era via the music of Jim Croce, Peter Allen, Marvin Hamlisch, Billy Strayhorn, Stephen Sondheim and Irving Berlin with music direction by Nathan Martin.
