News Donna Murphy and Faith Prince to Be Part of Mary Rodgers Celebration Composer Mary Rodgers will be honored during Music-Theatre Group's annual gala Oct. 23 at the Manhattan Penthouse.

The evening will feature songs from the revue Hey Love: The Songs of Mary Rodgers. Those scheduled to perform include Tony Award winners Donna Murphy and Faith Prince as well as Jim Walton and Mark Waldrop. Musical director Patrick Brady will be featured at the piano. Mary Rodgers is the composer of the Broadway musicals Once Upon a Mattress and Hot Spot and also contributed songs to From A to Z, Working and The Madwoman of Central Park West. She is also the author of the book "Freaky Friday" and the screenwriter of the Disney film of the same name.

MTG, which was founded by Lyn Austin in 1970, "identifies and shepherds collaborative, interdisciplinary works of music and theatre from commission, through development, and into full-scale productions." Their landmark productions include Juan Darien, The Garden of Earthly Desires, Marco Polo, Running Man and Doctor Selavy's Magic Theatre.
