News   Doubt Box Office Now Open at Walter Kerr Theatre The box office at the Walter Kerr is now dispensing tickets for its upcoming attraction, John Patrick Shanley's Doubt, which will begin previews March 9 toward a March 31 opening.

Carole Shorenstein Hays, Manhattan Theatre Club, Roger Berlind and Scott Rudin are the producing partners of the Broadway run.

As previously reported by Playbill.com, the drama set in a Bronx Catholic school in the 1960s. The cast and creative team of the acclaimed Manhattan Theatre Club Off-Broadway staging repeat their duties for the commercial run. The MTC production is directed by Doug Hughes and will again star Cherry Jones as Sister Aloysius and Brían F. O'Byrne as Father Flynn, with Heather Goldenhersh as Sister James and Adriane Lenox as Mrs. Muller.

This is the first time a work by the prolific Shanley (Danny and the Deep Blue Sea, "Moonstruck") will be seen on Broadway.

"Set against the backdrop of a Bronx Catholic school in 1964, Doubt is the story of a strong-minded woman faced with a difficult decision. Should she voice concerns about one of her male colleagues…even if she's not entirely certain of the truth?"

Set design is by John Lee Beatty, costume design is by Catherine Zuber, lighting design is by Pat Collins, original music and sound design is by David Van Tieghem. The performance schedule is Tuesday through Saturday at 8 PM, with matinees on Wednesday and Saturday at 2 PM, and Sunday at 3 PM.
