News Doubt’s Lenox Offers New School/Old School Concert Aug. 28 Adriane Lenox, who will reprise her Tony-winning turn as Mrs. Muller for West Coast audiences in the upcoming national tour of Doubt, returns to The Triad Aug. 28.

Lenox will again offer her acclaimed concert act, New School/Old School, which she debuted in June at the intimate cabaret. The one-night-only concert features Lenox interpreting a mix of songs from the worlds of pop, blues and gospel as well as standards and original tunes. Her guests for the evening include recording artist Dennis Collins, The Drowsy Chaperone's Kecia Lewis, Big River's Michael McElroy and Lenox's daughter, Crystal Joy. Keeping it all in the family, Lenox's husband, Zane Mark, is the concert's musical director. Show time is 8 PM.

For her performance as Mrs. Muller in Doubt, Adriane Lenox received the Tony, Drama Desk and Lucille Lortel Awards. Her other Broadway credits include Ain't Misbehavin', Dreamgirls, How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying and Kiss Me, Kate. She received an Obie Award and an Audelco Award for her work Off-Broadway in Dinah Was, and was also seen Off Broadway in Miss Evers Boys, Cavedweller, Spunk, The America Play, The Venus Hottentot and Beehive. Lenox will soon be seen in the films "Black Snake Moan" and "Griffin and Phoenix."

The Triad is located in Manhattan at 158 West 72nd Street. Tickets, priced at $25, are available by calling (212) 352-3101. There is also a two-drink minimum.
