The entertainment first bowed at the Off-Broadway theatre on Jan. 12, 2003, and proved so popular it returned for four more performances, March 7-15, 2003. The actress, whose stage credits include Joe and Betty, Uncommon Women and Others, talked of being fired by her idol Woody Allen during rehearsals of the Off-Broadway staging of Writer's Block. "After writing and performing a piece about the experience, many others were inspired to tell their tales," promotional materials explain. The new edition will feature Andy Borowitz (CNN’s "The Borowitz Report"), Illeana Douglas ("Ghost World," "Stir of Echoes"), Tonya Pinkins (Jelly’s Last Jam, Caroline, or Change), Anthony Haden-Guest (cartoonist, journalist, author), Emily Bergl (The Rivals, Fiction), Paul F. Tompkins (Fox’s "Kelsey Grammer Presents: The Sketch Show"), Brian Unger (Comedy Central’s "The Daily Show"), Maxine Lapiduss (executive producer, "Roseanne") and "other surprise participants."
Also on hand will be musical guests The Roches and musical satirist Roy Zimmerman.
