Holds Annual "Company Picnic" w/ Nixon, Holliday, Gasteyer, Sept. 30 Off-Broadway's Drama Dept., the theatre company that cooked up productions of As Bees In Honey Drown, June Moon, The Torch-Bearers, Music from a Sparkling Planet and Rude Entertainment, will now actually cook. Their third annual Company Picnic and Talent Show is set for Sept. 30.

Off-Broadway's Drama Dept., the theatre company that cooked up productions of As Bees In Honey Drown, June Moon, The Torch-Bearers, Music from a Sparkling Planet and Rude Entertainment, will now actually cook. Their third annual Company Picnic and Talent Show is set for Sept. 30.

The company members of Drama Dept. will bring some signature dishes for the 7 PM potluck dinner at Greenwich House. Past chefs (and their chefs d'oeuvre) have included Cynthia Nixon (Tomato Surprise), Patricia Clarkson (Mint Juleps), composer Stephen Flaherty (Baked Onion Tarts), Billy Crudup (Baked Beans) and Dylan Baker (Tuna Fish Sandwiches). Artistic director-playwright Douglas Carter Beane also offers his Three 'Beane' Salad.

Following the feast, over at the Lucille Lortel Theatre at 9 PM, will be the talent show. Performers will include Cynthia Nixon, Jennifer Holliday, Brian d'Arcy James, Charles Busch, Judy Kuhn, Jackie Hoffman, Tracie Thoms (singing from the Drama Dept.'s upcoming musical Lysistrata Jones), Robert Ari and Becky Ann Baker. Also scheduled to attend are Ana Gasteyer, Amy Sedaris, John Cameron Mitchell, Mary Bond Davis, Patricia Clarkson, Ross Gibby, Peter Jacobson and Oni Faida Lampley.
