News Drama League Gala Benefit — with Murphy, Monk, Ziemba and More — Honors Berlind Feb. 11 The 24th annual spring gala benefit for The Drama League, entitled A Musical Celebration of Broadway Honoring Roger Berlind, will be presented Feb. 11 at the Rainbow Room, high atop Rockefeller Plaza.

Directed by B.T. McNicholl, the celebration boasts performances by Brian Stokes Mitchell, Donna Murphy, Carolee Carmello, Gregg Edelman, Mary-Louise Parker, Debra Monk, Scott Ellis, Walter Bobbie, Karen Ziemba, Jason Danieley and James Naughton. Curtains Tony winner David Hyde Pierce hosts. The evening is scheduled to begin at 7 PM with a cocktail reception, which includes a silent auction/raffle. A seated dinner and the performance will follow at 8 PM.

The Musical Celebration was written by David Thompson and features musical direction by Paul Gemignani.

Roger Berlind has been producing Broadway shows for more than three decades. His numerous credits include Copenhagen; Kiss Me, Kate; Proof; Anna in the Tropics; Caroline, or Change; Wonderful Town; Doubt; The History Boys; Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?; Deuce; and The Year of Magical Thinking. He is currently represented on Broadway with Curtains, Is He Dead? and Rock 'n' Roll as well as the upcoming revivial of Gypsy starring Patti LuPone.
