Set for a Jan. 21, 2014, release on the Shanachie Entertainment/Euphonic Records label, the album promises a collection of R&B, jazz and pop songs including "At Last," "Love Me By My Name," "Nobody Does It Better," "The Look of Love," "It's Not About You," "The One You Used to Be," "Are You Leaving Me," "Love Is On the Way," "Touch" and the title track.

The album is produced by Holliday and Daniel Moore. "Jennifer Holliday is one of the greatest voices of our time; her many fans are hungry for new music from her. This new album may be the most complete fulfillment of her artistry and vision as she recorded it free from any pressure to fit a commercial format," said Randall Grass of Shanachie Entertainment.

As previously reported, Holliday will play the New York City nightlife and music venue 54 Below later this month. Read more about the engagement here.

A native of Houston, Holliday made her professional New York theatre debut in 1980 in the revival of Your Arms Too Short to Box With God. That role led to her Tony-winning performance in Dreamgirls, and her rendition of that show's "And I Am Telling You I'm Not Going" earned the singer-actress her first Grammy Award. She has also appeared on Broadway in the revivals of Grease! and Chicago, and her television credits include "Ellen," "Touched By an Angel" and a recurring role on "Ally McBeal." Holliday earned another Grammy Award for her recording of Duke Ellington's "Come Sunday."
