Recorded in a studio following the concerts, "Stage Door Canteen: Broadway Responds to WWII" features the vocal talents of Anderson Davis, Jeffry Denman, Brandon Victor Dixon, Tony winner Debra Monk and Betsy Wolfe.

The Stage Door Canteen was a club in the theatre district, run by the American Theatre Wing, featuring a volunteer staff and operating during World War I and World War II. Among the more than 20 songs featured on the recording are "This Is the Army, Mr. Jones," "The Kick in the Pants," "God Bless America," "The Song of the Free," "The Saga of Jenny," "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas/White Christmas/I'll Be Home for Christmas," "Farming," "The Last Time I Saw Paris," "Some Other Time" and more.

The CD was produced by Hugh Fordin; Ted Chapin is executive producer.
