The actor celebrated for his work in Broadway's Fortune's Fool, Present Laughter, A Man for All Seasons, Seascape, Man and Boy, The Father, Dracula, Frost/Nixon and more tells tales of his brushes with Rita Hayworth, Elizabeth Taylor, Sir Laurence Olivier, Jackie Onassis, Montgomery Clift and more.
According to the publisher, "Frank Langella's myriad encounters with some of the past century's most famous human beings are profoundly affecting, funny, wicked, sometimes shocking, and utterly irresistible. With sharp wit and a perceptive eye, Mr. Langella takes us with him into the private worlds and privileged lives of movie stars, presidents, royalty, literary lions, the social elite, and the greats of the Broadway stage."
Born in 1938, Bayonne, NJ, native Langella began performing as a boy in his hometown. In addition to his three Tonys (for Seascape, Fortune's Fool and Frost/Nixon), he was nominated for an Academy Award as Leading Actor for "Frost/Nixon." He now lives in New York City. "Dropped Names" — which covers the period since he was 15 years old — is his first book.
