Rachel Rockwell directs the production with choreography by Rhett Guter, who also serves as associate director and stars as Riff.

The cast will be led by Christina Nieves as Maria, Jim DeSelm as Tony and Michelle Aravena as Anita.

"A modern retelling of Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet set on the Upper West Side of Manhattan in the 1950s," West Side Story, according to press notes, "is the poignant tale of Tony and Maria, star-crossed young lovers caught in a turf war between rival gangs." The musical is the result of a collaboration between three theatrical luminaries: Arthur Laurents, Leonard Bernstein and Stephen Sondheim.

The production will also have musical direction by Roberta Duchak, set design by Scott Davis, properties design by Nick Heggestad, wig and makeup design by Rick Jarvie, lighting design by Yael Lubetzky, sound design by Ray Nardelli, costumes coordinated by Erika Senase with original costume design by David Woolard.
