News Dublin Theatre Festival, Featuring DruidMurphy, Works by Wooster Group, ERS and More, Launches Sept. 27 The Druid Theatre Company's DruidMurphy, Pan Pan's Everyone Is King Lear in His Own Home, the Wooster Group's Hamlet and Elevator Repair Service's The Select (The Sun Also Rises) are part of the 55th anniversary Dublin Theatre Festival, which begins Sept. 27.

Running through Oct. 14, festival highlights include an adaptation of James Joyce's Dubliners by The Corn Exchange and the Druid Theatre Company's Druid Murphy, a trio of Tom Murphy dramas: Conversations on a Homecoming, Whistle in the Dark and Famine

Pan Pan reinvents Shakespeare's King Lear with Everyone Is King Lear in His Own Home, while Declan Hughes' bittersweet comedy of love and loss, The Last Summer, will premiere at the Gate Theatre, and The Picture of Dorian Gray, directed by Neil Bartlett, will play The Abbey Theatre.

The new Irish opera company Wide Open Opera will stage Wagner's Tristan und Isolde, featuring the 85-member RTÉ National Symphony Orchestra.

Additional highlights include American productions of ERS' Hemingway work The Select (The Sun Also Rises) and the Wooster Group's Hamlet, incorporating the Richard Burton film.
