News 'Dudu' Fisher's Never on a Friday Extends To May 16 at NY's Jewish Rep Israeli singing star and former Broadway Les Miserables star David (Dudu) Fisher has extended by a week the run of his one man show, Never on a Friday, to May 16. Performances began April 17 for an opening April 25 at Jewish Repertory Theater (housed in Playhouse 91).

Israeli singing star and former Broadway Les Miserables star David (Dudu) Fisher has extended by a week the run of his one man show, Never on a Friday, to May 16. Performances began April 17 for an opening April 25 at Jewish Repertory Theater (housed in Playhouse 91).

This showcase spans Fisher's career from Cantor to symphonic vocalist to Broadway star. Offerings include selections as diverse as "Kol Nidrei," Figaro and Les Miserables.

Fisher has performed the role of Jean Valjean in Les Miserables in the 1987 Israeli premiere, as well as on London's West End and on Broadway. He has sung with the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra and the London Orchestra and has recorded fourteen albums of music ranging from traditional Yiddish songs to Broadway and pop standards. Recently he hosted a weekly prime time television show in Israel and filmed "The Road to Glory" about a cantor who becomes an opera star.
