The musical, which will begin performances at the Los Angeles theatre Oct. 10, will star Eric Anderson as Burrs, James Black as Eddie Mackrel, Innis Casey as Black, Kirsten Benton Chandler as Madelaine True, Daisy Eagan as Sally, Nathan Lee Graham as Phil D'Armano, Daren A. Herbert as Oscar D'Armano, Julie Dixon Jackson as Mae, Sally Kellerman as Dolores Montoya, Michael Kostroff as Goldberg, Jane Lanier as Kate, Valarie Pettiford as Queenie, Peter Van Norden as Gold, Sasha Wexler as Nadine and Sam Zeller as Jackie. Daniel Henning directs with choreography by co-star Lanier and musical direction by David O.
The creative team also includes Aaron Francis (set design), Steven Young (lighting design), Dana Peterson (costume design) and Judi Lewin (wig and makeup design). Chane't Johnson is the musical's assistant director.
The Wild Party was one of two musicals of the 1999-2000 New York season to be based on the 1920's poem by Joseph Moncure March. The plot concerns Burrs, a vicious vaudevillian, and Queenie, a vivacious flapper, and the booze, sex and violence-filled party they throw one night. The show ran for 68 performances at the Virginia Theatre. Toni Collette starred as Queenie and Mandy Patinkin was Burrs. Eartha Kitt, Marc Kudisch and Tonya Pinkins also starred.
The Wild Party will play Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday evenings at 8 PM and Sundays at 2 and 7 PM.
