News "Ear of the Heart: The Music of Galt MacDermot" Screened at Joe's Pub April 25 Scenes from the feature-length documentary "Ear of the Heart: The Music of Galt MacDermot," which is currently in post-production, will be presented April 25 at Joe's Pub.

The evening, hosted by singer/songwriter Joe Hurley, will also feature musical performances by MacDermot with his New Pulse Band and Hair's Bryce Ryness. Show time is 6 PM. "Ear of the Heart: The Music of Galt MacDermot," according to press notes, "follows Galt's music career and reveals the depth and spirituality of his unforgettable body of work." Proceeds from the benefit will be used to finish this film.

Galt MacDermot penned the music for Hair and won a 1972 Tony Award for the music for Two Gentlemen of Verona.

There is a $150 cover charge for seating; $75 for standing room. Joe's Pub is located within the Public Theater at 425 Lafayette. For more information visit joespub.com.
