Part of the York's Summer Developmental Reading Series, Camille features music by Ron Abel, lyrics by Chuck Steffan and a book by Daniel O'Connor. The reading, according to actress Christiane Noll's official website, will feature the talents of Noll, Jack Noseworthy and Tony Award winner Christine Ebersole. Readings will be held at 2 and 7:30 PM on Aug. 22 and at 2 PM Aug. 23. The York's website describes the musical thusly: "He called her Camille. She was a reckless beauty and a scandalous Parisian courtesan. He was a young nobleman with too much heart for her world. Camille is an intimate chamber musical of a legendary love story told against an unflinching expose of courtesan life."
