SubCulture, the music and performing arts venue in downtown Manhattan, has announced special guests for Tony winner Jason Robert Brown’s November, December, and January Artist-In-Residence concerts.

Brown will be joined by Eden Espinosa (Wicked, Brooklyn the Musical, Rent) November 14; Tony nominee Norm Lewis (Phantom of the Opera, The Gershwins’ Porgy & Bess, Scandal) December 11; and Tony winner Kelli O'Hara (South Pacific, The Bridges of Madison County, The King and I) January 9, 2017.

“This residency has offered me so many opportunities to collaborate with other artists and make new music,” said composer-lyricist Brown in a statement. “My next three collaborations reflect different stages of my life – Eden Espinosa, with whom I’ve only just started working; Norm Lewis, who I’ve known for many years but have never gotten to share a concert; and Kelli, for whom I wrote some of my favorite music. In addition to these unique and glorious singers, there will be a gaggle of wonderful instrumentalists sharing the stage and adding their inimitable voices to the conversation.

“After the extraordinary success of the Town Hall concert of The Last Five Years, I’m excited to get back to our magical basement on Bleecker Street and fill it with my inspiring friends and colleagues.”

Each performance of the concert series incorporates an eclectic mix of material featuring music from throughout Brown’s career, along with new works in development.

Tickets for all three concerts are currently on sale to the general public and can be purchased at subculturenewyork.com.
