News Edgerton, Neville, Austin, Fox and More to Star in Iron Curtain Concert Prospect Theatre Company will present a concert reading of the musical comedy Iron Curtain June 30 at the Engleman Recital Hall, which is located in the Baruch Performing Arts Center.

Directed by Cara Reichel, the reading will boast the talents of Jeff Edgerton, Marcus Neville, Bethe B. Austin, Larry Brustofski, Maria Couch, Ashley Fox Linton, Richard Pruitt, Greg Horton, David S. Miller, Zak Risinger, Doug Shapiro, Dara Seitzman, Robby Sharpe and Lucy Sorensen. The 7:30 PM concert will benefit Prospect Theater Company's 2008-09 season.

Iron Curtain features a book by Susan DiLallo, lyrics by Peter Mills and music by Stephen Weiner. Set during Broadway's Golden Age of the 1950's, the musical, according to press notes, "follows the adventures of an unsuccessful composer/lyricist team as they are kidnapped by the KGB and taken to the USSR to ghost-write communist propaganda musicals, where they are forced to choose between the fame they yearn for and the freedom they have lost."

Prospect Theater Company's 2006 production of Iron Curtain won the Innovative Theatre Award for Outstanding Production of a New Musical for the 2005-06 season.
