News Edward Norton Hosts Starry Signature Benefit Honoring Albee and McCann, May 5 Signature Theatre Company will honor Pulitzer Prize winning playwright Edward Albee and Tony Award winning producer Elizabeth Ireland McCann on May 5 at Essex House in Manhattan, as a benefit for the not-for-profit Off-Broadway company.

Co-hosted by Edward Norton, the evening will feature special tributes by Sally Field, Mary Tyler Moore, James Van Der Beek, John Lithgow, Lee Blessing, Betty Comden, Mel Gussow, Adrienne Kennedy, Romulus Linney, Brian Murray, Marian Seldes, Jerry Stiller and Anne Meara, Paula Vogel, Lanford Wilson and Signature artistic director James Houghton.

Albee was Signature's 1993-94 playwright-in-residence. McCann has produced Albee's The Goat or Who is Sylvia?, The Play About The Baby, Three Tall Women and A Delicate Balance.

Tickets for the evening (beginning at 6:30 PM) start at $300. Essex House is at 160 Central Park South. Dinner and presentations begin at 7:30.
