News Edward Norton, Michael Keaton, Emma Stone and More Set for "Birdman" Film, Set in a Broadway Theatre Edward Norton, who was seen in the Off-Broadway productions of Fragments and Burn This, has joined the cast of Alejandro Gonzalez Innaritu's "Birdman," the upcoming film set in and around a Broadway theatre, according to Deadline.com.

The Fox Searchlight and New Regency project will also feature Michael Keaton ("Batman"), Emma Stone ("Easy A"), Naomi Watts ("King Kong") and Zach Galifianakis ("The Hangover").

"Birdman" is described as a dark comedy that follows a former actor (Keaton) — known for once playing an iconic superhero — who is putting together a Broadway play based on a Raymond Carver short story. Production is scheduled to begin in April.

Stone will play Keaton's daughter, fresh from rehab, and Watts and Norton will be actors in the play. Galifianakis will play the production's producer.

Gonzalez Inarritu co-wrote the script with Nicolas Giacobone, Alexander Dinelaris and Armando Bo, and he will also produce with Robert Graf and John Lesher.
