News Egan and Graae to Be Part of Society of Composers & Lyricists Evening Susan Egan and Jason Graae will be among the performers at the upcoming Evening of Cabaret in Hollywood, CA.

Presented by the Society of Composers & Lyricists and ASCAP, the Oct. 20 performance will also feature acclaimed songwriters Marcy Heisler and Zina Goldrich. Gerald Sternbach will be featured at the piano. Show time is 8:30 PM at the Catalina Bar & Grill.

Susan Egan received Tony and Drama Desk Award nominations for her work in Beauty and the Beast, and her other theatre credits include Thoroughly Modern Millie, Cabaret, Triumph of Love, Putting It Together and Hello Again. Her debut solo recording was titled "So Far" and includes tunes from her many theatrical outings. Her new recording is titled "Coffee House."

Jason Graae starred on Broadway in A Grand Night for Singing, Falsettos, Stardust and Do Black Patent Leather Shoes Really Reflect Up?, and appeared in the Hollywood Bowl concert version of The Music Man as Marcellus Washburn. His Off-Broadway credits include roles in Forever Plaid; Hello Muddah, Hello Fadduh; Olympus On My Mind; and All in the Timing. Graae also starred in the Reprise! concerts of Of Thee I Sing!, Anything Goes and The Boys from Syracuse.

Marcy Heisler and Zina Goldrich were honored with the ASCAP Foundation Richard Rodgers New Horizons Theatre Award. They are also the recipients of several Bistro and MAC Awards, and their tunes have been embraced by Wicked's Kristin Chenoweth (she performed their song "Taylor, the Latte Boy" on "The Rosie O'Donnell Show), Jekyll & Hyde's Christiane Noll (she recorded "Taylor" on her solo disc), Avenue Q's Ann Harada and John Tartaglia, Saturday Night Fever's Paige Price and Dance of the Vampires' Max von Essen. Their work is now available for all, courtesy of a new 318-page tome — "Goldrich and Heisler: Songbook Volume 1" — that features 32 of their songs.
