The five-day series includes Fosse's range of screen talent — from his hoofing as a handsome, fresh-faced dancer in 1950s M-G-M pictures to his gritty directorial work on such films as "Star 80" and "All That Jazz."
"Bob Fosse transcended the idea of singing and dancing with dynamic choreography that achieved a joyfully vulgar, all-American poetry," according to Society notes. "This eight-film showcase presents rarely screened studio prints of the remarkable quintet of films he directed, including his multi-Academy Award winning films 'Cabaret' and 'All That Jazz,' as well as three '50s-era musical charmers in which Fosse performed and served as choreographer. Each bears his unmistakable stamp, as his energizing spirit fills every frame of these movies."
