Add another classic musical to the growing roster of shows adapted for young audiences and performers: 42nd Street has now been streamlined into a one-hour musical for elementray and middle schools.

Licensing company Tams-Witmark announced that 42nd Street Young Performers' Edition, developed in association with iTheatrics, is now available for licensing. The Tony-winning 1980 musical—based on the classic '30s movie—tells the story of chorus girl Peggy Sawyer amid the goings-on behind the scenes of a new Broadway musical.

Tams-Witmark has been a leader in theatrical licensing for over 90 years, representing some of the finest titles in musical theater. Thousands of schools and community theaters present Tams-Witmark musicals each year.
