News Elena Shaddow Will Celebrate The New Golden Age of Broadway at 54 Below Always Better: The New Golden Age of Broadway with Elena Shaddow, who starred in the Williamstown Theatre Festival production of The Bridges of Madison County, will be held Jan. 3, 2015, at 54 Below.

The 9:30 PM concert, devised by Elena, Robbie Rozelle and musical director Georgia Stitt, will feature a cross-section of composers from the last 25 years, including Stephen Sondheim, Stephen Schwartz, Adam Guettel, Jason Robert Brown and Adam Overett.

Here's how the show is billed: "Possessing one of the most beautiful voices in theater today, Elena has had the good fortune to perform the works — on Broadway and regionally — of her favorite contemporary composers, to whom she pays tribute in this show Always Better: The New Golden Age of Broadway."

Caitlin Kinnunen (The Bridges of Madison County) will join Shaddow as a special guest.

Always Better: The New Golden Age of Broadway debuted at 54 Below in September 2014 to a sold-out house.

Shaddow played Sister Sophia in the NBC live television event The Sound of Music and originated the role of Francesca in The Bridges of Madison County. Her Broadway credits include Anne Dindon in La Cage Aux Folles, The Woman in White, Fiddler on the Roof, Nine, Sweet Smell of Success and Les Misérables. She starred as Fanny in Fanny at City Center Encores!, played Magnolia in Show Boat at the Royal Albert Hall and received a Helen Hayes Best Actress nomination for playing Clara in the first national tour of The Light in the Piazza. 54 Below is located at 254 West 54th Street.
