From the company who brought us shows like Total Fictional Lie, Cab Legs and Shut Up I Tell You (I Said, Shut Up I Tell You), comes their new collaboration, Highway to Tomorrow, opening at New York City’s HERE Nov. 1. The Elevator Repair Service production began performances Oct. 25 and runs through Nov 18.

Using "found-object puppets, mid-century Afropop and fractured choreography," the Servicemen take on Euripides' The Bacchae. John Collins and Steve Bodow direct the production with a cast that includes Paul Boocock, Rinne Groff, James Hannaham, Randolph Curtis Rand and Susie Sokol.

The production team behind the collaboration piece includes choreographer Katherine Profeta, sound designers Michael Kraskin and Blake Koh, lighting designer Eric Dyer, costume designer Carson Kreitzer, and set consultant Jula [sic] Tüllmann.

ERS has toured across the U.S. and Europe with its unique experimental theatre style. The ensemble creates its works through a process of collaboration that involves slapstick, audio, found text, and even discarded furniture. This production marks the company's ninth work and tenth season.
