News Elf Returns to New York With Eric Petersen and Christiane Noll The holiday tour of the Broadway musical Elf returns to the Theater at Madison Square Garden for a limited run Dec. 9. Eric Petersen stars as Buddy, with Tony Award nominee Christiane Noll as Emily.

Elf features songs by Tony Award nominees Matthew Sklar and Chad Beguelin (The Wedding Singer), with a book by Tony Award winners Thomas Meehan (Annie, The Producers, Hairspray) and Bob Martin (The Drowsy Chaperone). The New York City leg of the tour runs through Dec. 27 at Theater at Madison Square Garden.

Petersen and Noll are JB Adams (Santa), Jen Bechter (Deb), Joshua Colley (Michael), Tom Galantich (Walter), Veronica Kuehn (Jovie), Danny Rutigliano (Mr. Greenway) and Arthur Ross (Store Manager).

The cast will also includes Tyler Altomari, Darren Biggart, Giovanni Bonaventura, Amanda Braun, Elizabeth Burton, Drew Franklin, Julia Hosack, Paul Ianniello, Chandon Jones, Drew King, Andrew Kreup, Emily Larger, Will Mann, Amy Van Norstrand, Nick Silverio and Dani Spieler.

Sam Scalamoni directs the tour, which has choreography by Connor Gallagher.

The musical is described as "the hilarious tale of Buddy, a young orphan child who mistakenly crawls into Santa's bag of gifts and is transported back to the North Pole. Unaware that he is actually human, Buddy's enormous size and poor toy-making abilities cause him to face the truth. With Santa's permission, Buddy embarks on a journey to New York City to find his birth father, discover his true identity, and help New York remember the true meaning of Christmas."
