Broadway News Elizabeth Marvel, Jayne Houdyshell, and Ruth Wilson Join Glenda Jackson in King Lear on Broadway Sam Gold will direct the revival, with an original score by Phillip Glass.

Elizabeth Marvel, Jayne Houdyshell, and Ruth Wilson will star alongside Glenda Jackson in King Lear next spring.

As previously announced, Jackson, who won a Tony Award for Edward Albee's Three Tall Women, will reprise her performance as the title character in the William Shakespeare classic. She will be joined by stage stalwarts Marvel (as Goneril), Houdyshell (as Earl of Glouchester), and Wilson (as both Cordelia and the Fool.)

Additional casting includes Aisling O'Sullivan in her Broadway debut as Regan; Pedro Pascal, making his Broadway debut as Edmund; John Douglas Thompson as Earl of Kent; Sean Caraval as Edgar; Dion Johnstone as Duke of Albany; Russell Harvard as Duke of Cornwall; and Matthew Maher as Oswald.

Also announced are Sam Gold and Phillip Glass as director and composer, respectively.

Performances are set to begin February 28, 2019, at the Golden Theatre, prior to an opening night of April 4.

Additional casting will be announced at a later date.
