News Elton John to Perform Concert for American Foundation for Equal Rights Elton John, who won a Tony Award for his score to Aida, will perform a private concert at the "Green Acres" estate of Ron Burkle Jan. 19, 2011.

The concert will benefit the American Foundation for Equal Rights, which is working to challenge Proposition 8, the anti-gay marriage amendment in California.

John has also written the scores to Billy Elliot and The Lion King and produced last season's Next Fall on Broadway. The Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter is known for hits ranging from "Candle in the Wind" to "Tiny Dancer," "Crocodile Rock" and "Goodbye, Yellow Brick Road," among many others.
