Emile Hirsch (Hollywood's "Milk," "Into the Wild," "Speed Racer"), Tony Award winner Bill Irwin (Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?), Tony winner Julie White (The Little Dog Laughed), Greta Gerwig (the upcoming film "Arthur") and Jeremy Shamos (Clybourne Park and Broadway's Elling, Reckless) will appear in the reading, directed by Scott Ellis (The Little Dog Laughed, Curtains, Twelve Angry Men).
The 7:30 PM reading is not open to the public. No official announcement has been made about this title getting a future full production by Roundabout, the resident New York City Equity company that operates theatre on Broadway and Off-Broadway.
Levenson's The Language of Trees played the 62-seat Black Box Theatre Off-Broadway in fall 2008, as part of Roundabout Underground, which exists to cultivate and support new artists. Roundabout continues a relationship with these artists after the Underground run ends, often workshopping or reading their new material.
Levenson's plays include Girls Day and Almost Stuck. He is a member of Youngblood Playwrights Group at EST and Play Group at Ars Nova. He is a graduate of Brown University.
