News Emmy Winner Valerie Mahaffey Will Guest Star on Upcoming Season of "Glee" Emmy Award winner Valerie Mahaffey and Don Most will play the parents of guidance counselor Emma Pillsbury (Jayma Mays), Rose and Rusty Pillsbury, respectively, on the third season of Fox's "Glee," according to TVGuide.com.

Mahaffey and Most will guest star on the Oct. 4 episode, where viewers will also meet Mike Chang's (Harry Shum, Jr.) parents, who will be played by Keong Sim and Tamlyn Tomita. On the upcoming season, other new characters include Mercedes' (Amber Riley) new supportive boyfriend, and the two winners of “The Glee Project,” Samuel Larsen and Damian McGinty. The runner-up contestants, Alex Newell and Lindsay Pearce, will also appear in the season and be given a two-episode spotlight.

Mahaffey has been seen on Broadway in The Loves of Anatol, Play Memory, Scenes and Revelations, Fearless Frank, Dracula and Rex. She won an Emmy for her work on "Northern Exposure." Most is best known for playing Ralph Malph on "Happy Days."

The third season of "Glee" will kick off Sept. 20, returning to its Tuesday night slot at 8 PM ET on Fox.
