The upcoming encore run of Fairview, Jackie Sibblies Drury's Pulitzer Prize–winning and widely acclaimed drama, extends through July 28 at Brooklyn's Polonsky Shakespeare Center. The Soho Rep. (which commissioned and originally produced the play) and Theatre for a New Audience production was originally scheduled through June 30.

Fairview is directed by Sarah Benson with choreography by Raja Feather Kelly. As previously reported, the entire cast from the sold-out world premiere will return for the summer run, which begins June 2.

The company is made up of MaYaa Boateng (Fabulation, or the Re-Education of Undine at Signature Theatre, The Public’s Julius Caesar), Charles Browning (Virginia Stage Company’s I Sing The Rising Sea; The Capables at The Gym at Judson), Hannah Cabell (The Father on Broadway, Venus at Signature Theatre), Natalia Payne (Roundabout Theatre Company’s The Last Match, Playwrights Horizons’ Me, Myself & I), Jed Resnick (Avenue Q on Broadway; national tour of Rent), Luke Robertson (Mr. Robot, The Americans), Roslyn Ruff (The Death of the Last Black Man in the Whole Entire World at Signature Theatre, All the Way on Broadway), and Heather Alicia Simms (By the Way, Meet Vera Stark at Signature Theatre, Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom on Broadway).

In Fairview, the Frasier family prepares for Grandma’s birthday—but not all is going according to plan, and things quickly go in unexpected directions for both the characters and the audience. The new work is an investigation into the ways in which we observe and judge each other every day, as well as examination of race and privilege in America.

Following its premiere at Soho Rep. last summer, Fairview played at Berkeley Repertory Theatre, which co-commissioned and helped develop the piece with Soho Rep. The play is also set to receive its U.K. premiere at the Young Vic in November and is also part of Woolly Mammoth's upcoming season.
