Broadway News Erich Bergen Returns to Broadway’s Waitress June 4 The Sara Bareilles musical continues at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre.

Erich Bergen, who made his Broadway debut in the musical Waitress last June, returns to the production at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre June 4.

The star of CBS’ Madam Secretary once again steps into the role of Dr. Pomatter; he succeeds Jeremy Jordan, who played his final performance June 2.

Bergen is also known for starring as Bob Gaudio in the Jersey Boys movie, reprising his performance from the national tour and Las Vegas productions of the show.

Waitress currently stars Shoshana Bean, Charity Angel Dawson, Caitlin Houlahan, Ben Thompson, Larry Marshall, Benny Elledge, and Noah Galvin.

Based on the 2007 motion picture written by Adrienne Shelly, Waitress is the first Broadway musical to have four women in the four top creative team spots, with a book by Jessie Nelson, a score by six-time Grammy Award-nominated singer-songwriter Sara Bareilles, choreography by Lorin Latarro, and direction by Tony winner Diane Paulus.
