Classic Arts News   Esa-Pekka Salonen to Miss Cleveland Orchestra Concerts

Conductor Esa-Pekka Salonen is "indisposed" and will miss three concerts this week with the Cleveland Orchestra, the Akron Beacon-Journal reports.

Salonen, the music director of the Los Angeles Philharmonic, was to conduct Hillborg's Exquisite Corpse, Berlioz's Symphonie fantastique and Bart‹k's Piano Concerto No. 1, with soloist Mitsuko Uchida. He has been replaced by Emmanuel Krevine, the founder and conductor of La Chambre Philharmonique. Uchida remains on the program, but will now perform Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 3.

Salonen's next scheduled appearance with the Philharmonic is on November 26.
